Welcome to Edrops
Built for Crisis. Designed for Dignity. Powered by Purpose.
Edrops is a social enterprise born from disaster response innovation. Reimagining shelter as scalable ecosystems, we serve displaced communities by creating human-centered systems built for resilience, dignity and local empowerment.
In partnership with humanitarian organisations, Edrops transforms the traditional concept of emergency shelter from crisis response to community recovery.
Integrating modular design, localisation strategies, digital coordination tools and long-term reusability, our shelters and services transform aid for both short and long term displacements.
Shelter Essentials.
Each shelter comes with a bundle of items essential for safe and dignified living including
mosquito nets, water storage tools, solar power with battery, lights and multiple charging
points, bedding, torch and alarm a hanging rack and a welcome mat.
CARES Bundle.
Each container comprises a huge shade cloth and ground tarpaulin initially to create a safer
working space for unloading and later to provide shelter as needed plus more.
SMILES Bundle.
Container orders include games, sporting equipment, creative and educational items primarily
aimed to keep young and older minds active and occupied.
The Apps Bundle.
Comprising three ground-breaking Apps available for mobile devices, tablets, Mac and PC’s.
6 Guiding Pillars
We’re here to help them Our human-centred designs, solutions and services are grounded in the realities of crisis and are influenced by 6 Guiding Pillars.
Innovation
Designing better solutions for displaced and disaster-affected communities.
CommUnity Shelter systems to modular upgrades, cooling tech and off-grid energy. Innovations that respond to real needs, not just procurement specs.
Our shelters are rapid to deploy, easy to scale and adaptable for real-world challenges.
Inclusion
Everyone has a right to safety, dignity and care - especially the most vulnerable.
Our CommUnity Spaces prioritise access, safety and flexibility.
Ramps, rails, protective zones and group arrangements ensure the elderly, disabled, women and children are protected and cared for. This is not an afterthought, it is designed into our structure and system.
Impact
We measure success by how meaningfully we help (not necessarily how many).
From carbon reductions and product reusability to localised income generation and social health outcomes, our impact is economic, environmental and emotional.
Every deployment is tracked with a stakeholder and recovery lens.
Inspiration
Stories move us. Education uplifts. Innovation begins in imagination.
Whether it’s our Coping with Disasters book series for children, our field team stories, or our refugee-founded tech Apps, we share what works and celebrate what matters.
We want others to dream and build, too.
Sustainability
Doing good shouldn’t cost the Earth.
All DS3 shelters are manufactured in solar-powered facilities and designed to last longer than typical disaster tents. Reusable, recyclable and made with less shipping waste, our entire ecosystem is future-ready.
Localisation
We believe aid must empower the people receiving it.
Our model supports local manufacturing, repair, assembly and upgrade capacity.
From training teams in camp zones to designing deployable Hub Kits we want to work with our partners to create real pathways for skill-building, jobs and dignity.

More than Shelter. A Platform for Recovery.
Cultural sensitivity and localisation
“Optional solar and battery kits (co-developed with partners) allow ourshelters to operate independently ofdiesel generators. These ruggedsystems, now in demand in Gaza andBangladesh, powerlighting, ventilationand connectivity, extendingfunctionality and reducing emissions inoff-grid settings.”

Environmental adaptation
““Elevated bases prevent water ingressmitigating health risks from damp livingconditions and reducing soil erosion andland degradation. Roof systems areengineered to collect rainwater or directit safely away from shelters, helpingrestore natural water flows and reducesite disruption, particularly in flood-prone areas.”

Cleaner energy access

Digital efficiency
“Our Command Centre and CommUnityapps, replace paper-based systems withdigital coordination-streamlining aiddelivery and reducing waste in high-turnoveremergency scenarios.”
